MEDIBANK HEADQUARTERS 720 BOURKE STREET, WORKPLACE WAYFINDING SIGNAGE & ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS

Workplace Aspirational Brief and Brand Extension, Wayfinding Strategy and Schedule, Wayfinding Signage Systems, Building Identification, Environmental Graphics, Signage Guidelines, Cost Planning and Prototyping, Tender and Construction Administration

When Australia’s leading health insurer Medibank approached Cbus Property, their vision was for a new workplace that was vibrant, dynamic and that encouraged ‘a healthy and active way of working’. Working in close collaboration with leading architectural and interiors practice HASSELL, the 720 building design and Medibank workplace embodied the concept ‘Thrive’. Through the realisation of an Activity Based Workplace (ABW) workplace, the vision was to create an environment that promotes health, connection and movement through flexibility – a benchmark example of a modern and progressive workplace. Although a seemingly conventional building the 720 site with two street frontages, three key entries across 3 levels, along with mixed tenancy for both public and private usage presented wayfinding complexities. We were engaged to deliver both a wayfinding system that complimented the building, whilst delivering a placemaking and workplace identity through environmental graphics.
